Pre-Confirmation 2010 - 2011*(Pre-Confirmation – these two years fulfill the long range preparation for Confirmation.) This is a program for youth who are currently in the 7th & 8th grades in the public schools. After six years of core Catholic teachings, the process of development shifts to accommodate the new stage of life these young people are experiencing. The hard questions are discussed: Who am I? What is the meaning of life. . . and death? How do I know what is right? Why do people suffer? These young teens will be encouraged to think in newer, more profound ways about Catholic truths. By the time the young people complete these two years, they will have built upon their first six years in a mature way preparing them for their decision to be confirmed. This program is held on-campus. When: September – April; **Wednesday 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm; or **Thursday 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm or the Summer session. Interspersed through the year will be Friday evening socials, trips and service events for these young teens to develop their sense of community.
For families who find that our programs during the school year create a scheduling hardship for their families. This is a concentrated program meeting the required instructional hours during a two week period after the current school year is done. It will also include 3 connector seasonal family events. It is offered for Levels K, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7/8.
